DSP Partners must meet the following insurance requirements in order to enter into a contract with Amazon and deliver goods and packages to Amazon customers as part of the Delivery Service Program:
- $1,000,000 minimum limits apply to employers' liability and workers compensation.
- Insurance covering general liability that has occurrence limits higher than $1,000,000 and general aggregate limits exceeding $2,000,000.
- Business Auto Liability with a $1,000,000 per incident cap on property damage and bodily harm.
- More than $25,000 in cargo legal liability for each loss.
Insurance businesses with an A.M. Best Rating of A-or higher must write all policies. Carriers are required to give Amazon 30 days’ notice before canceling any policies. Amazon must be listed as an additional insured on GL and auto policies. Primary coverage must be provided on an as-needed basis. A waiver of subrogation designating Amazon as an extra insurer should be included.
